I’m a multi-disciplinary artist/designer

I look for every opportunity to utilize storytelling in product design. Effectively communicating my design has been the key to my success in aligning team members with the design vision and capturing the needs of the end user.

When not designing, I make use of my film degree by creating narrative shorts, documentaries, and music videos. I have worked as a cinematographer and have been honing my skills as a director more recently. I love creating dramatic, suspenseful, and emotional stories that have a small cast that are faced with unique challenges in familiar situations and environments.

Otherwise, you can find me strengthening creative communities and improving my music production skills.

How I like to design

I unpack each new project by doing the following:

  1. Get the lay of the land

  2. Understand the current scope of design

  3. Look for the long term opportunities

Double Diamond Design Thinking Process

Exploring before designing is always the goal. Things are much more dynamic in reality. There often isn’t enough time to research in enterprise UX, but I always push for it to combat assumptions. In the diagram below, I’ve added some key deliverables and procedures that I often use. Not all deliverables are required to produce a validated design, but I aim to complete as least 1-2 items per phase (by color).
